Why Join Our Team?

Renga's goal is to solve the world's most ambitious problems with strategy and design. Over the last few years we have been working with some of the fastest growing brands you know and love. Renga has developed a reputation as the best kept secret in design. We think it's time to let that secret out and become the most desired agency to work with on big world changing ideas.

We're looking for someone who wants to grow their design portfolio by helping us build some great brands and working with a wonderful team while they do it.

Our Culture

  • We're fully remote;
  • We put the health and happiness of our team first;
  • We're committed to helping you grow your career;
  • We're trying to work together to leave this world a better place;
  • We like to have fun together;

About The Role:

A Designer at Renga is someone who has a gift of translating ideas, emotion and intention into compelling visuals. Your role will involve working closely with the rest of our team to ensure research, strategy, and design are applied to our branding projects. Day to day you will be building out pitch presentations, identity suites with consideration to colour palettes, logos, typefaces, icons, stylescapes and all other necessary design elements for the brand. This role may be client facing at times. We need your participation in discussions for internal and external presentations throughout each project.

Core Objectives:

  1. Executing deliverables on several projects at any given time alongside your pod (small team);
  2. Meeting deadlines through a combination of independent and collaborative design work;
  3. Being able to walk a client through your work and explain your reasoning when necessary;
  4. Working with our strategists to take a design project from start to finish;
  5. Supporting other designers when necessary;

About You:

You're good with deadlines. You need to be able to focus your creative ability within the time constraints of a project.

You know how to ask for help. If you're stuck, you solve your problem by reaching out and asking someone to help you.

You're a good self manager. A remote role requires a certain degree of self-management. Someone isn't watching you at all times, so you need to make good use of your time.

You know your creative rhythms. A benefit of a remote job is that you can sort of focus your creative energy into the times that work best for you.

You're able to communicate with conviction. A good designer can stand up for their design. You should be able to explain why you did what you did.

You listen well. A core part of our process is understanding the intentions behind our client's brands; this requires a careful ear to what is - and isn't - said.

You know how to have fun. We believe in having fun together and with our clients. We want our process to be delightful for everyone involved.

You don't design for your own ego. This isn't about being an artist, it's about a responsibility in putting great work that does no harm into the world.

You're obsessed with making things better. We want to leave the world better than we found it. Good design can do that.

You're committed to self awareness. You are working at identifying your strengths, weaknesses, and blindspots. You are open to feedback and growth.

Requirements:

  1. 3+ years in agency or freelance work;
  2. Education in design;
  3. A portfolio + 2 professional references;
  4. A working knowledge of both Figma and Adobe.
